How to Not Ruin Your New Favorite Shirt

This shirt was made to get better with age—not destroyed in the laundry.

Wash cold. Hot water is for overachievers and accidental shrinkage.

Turn it inside out. Protect the graphic you plan on wearing until it falls apart.

Use a mild detergent. Skip the bleach, harsh chemicals, and fabric softener. This garment-dyed cotton is already soft and relaxed. Keep it that way.

Wash separately the first time. A little color may bleed during the first wash, so keep it away from your fancy white stuff.

Air-dry when possible. It helps prevent shrinking, fading, and unnecessary wear.

Using a dryer? Tumble dry low or use the delicate setting. Remove promptly to help prevent wrinkles.

Need to iron it? Turn the shirt inside out or use a pressing cloth. Never iron directly over the graphic.

Treat it right, and it’ll keep looking better the more you wear it.
